I believe in the power of data and rigorous analysis for decision making. I have made this the pursuit of my professional life across industrial sectors, companies and roles. This space is to share content and recommendations I wish I had received when I was starting my journey as a data scientist and later as a quant (which is a data scientist focused on Investments).

Adding true value in this modern world requires a lot from each one of us, from soft skills to hard skills, motivation, multi-year commitment and consistency. If you are in a similar journey, you can read along as I share learnings from my first 25 years of career that I hope will help you navigate and thrive in the career adventure of your choice. 

I also believe that there's great engineering and decision making talent in people out there that is not yet reaching its maximum potential and I’d like to accelerate this gap-closing process.

I have divided the content in two: 

1. General career, soft skill building and decision making recommendations that have worked for me and for others throughout the years.
   

2. Introductory explanations of scientific investing and risk management principles for people interested in incorporating a more rational way of making important investment decisions, for those starting their career in investment analysis and portfolio construction and for those who are already in the field of Finance but want to know more about the quantitative and quantamental styles of investing in Equities.
